Good News/Bad News

Well. The good news is Evil's here at the house with me. The bad news is she has Mast Cell Tumors. One on her side (which is what the oozing thing is) and one on her lymph node. If it was just the one on her skin, they'd probably be able to treat her, but the one on her lymph node is something they can't fix.

She's not acting sick, and is in fact behaving pretty much normally, so (With Dr. Haver's Permission) I plan on spoiling her rotten till she starts to decline. Then I am going to have to put her to sleep.

And that is the hardest sentence I've ever had to type.

Oh, God, ET.
A million hugs. That sentence never would have gotten out, because I would have been too much of a baby.

Love you. Hit me up if you need to chat.

I was ok till I actually typed it. That sucked. Hard.

She's been being her usual quasi-evil (the diet coke of Evil, even) self. Still sleeping on the couch, because her little beastie feet are getting into EVERYTHING even remotely noisy. She has the insatiable need to SKRITCH her claws in something. But not a scratching thing. No. That's convenient. Nope. Carpet, Paper, plastic bags, the contents of the garbage can, the rug under the litter box, my backpack, you name it.

So she's being normal. And that's a wonderful, fantastic thing. She's also coming out around the house more, and parking her butt in the windows when they're open. So, normal, it is good.

Thanks for the hugs and for bein' there.

Okay, I got a little teary. I'm so sorry that this has happened to your baby. I'm glad to hear that she seems to be feeling much better, though. We'll all be sending very warm thoughts your way.

Thanks MWN, Goldie & ET. She's doing pretty well, though I think I've found another small lump on her ribcage.

She actually let me sleep in my bed last night- with my head where my feet normally go. She stretched out next to me, and while still skritch-happy, was reasonably well-behaved.

I get to go see Doc Haver again Monday, with Silent Bob, because she needs her shots, and then she's getting spayed. Yes. I suck. She was never spayed because she was always super tiny, and didn't go into heat till she was about 2. It never was too bad to deal with,a nd she was an indoor kitty. This time it's unbearable, so in she goes...
They're going to get sick of seeing me soon.
