Special Sauce

Oh COOL!

I work in a snow globe, and it is awesome.

The way the cabana is arranged, there are large windows lining the wall to my left, a large window in front of me, and another smaller window to my right, plus a boatload of mirrors that reflect the windows opposite them.

It's snowing outside.

It is like sitting inside a snow globe, without any of that pesky "learning to breathe underwater" or having your fingers turn all pruny.

Hee! It's so pretty.

(Certainly my tune will change when I drive home, but for now, it's neat.)

Why are there no comments? I want comments! The people who comment on this blog (yes, GoG, Miss NashVegas, et al, I'm looking at you) always have smart, funny things to say. Sigh...

They're waitin' on you, MWN!

While you're waiting. The peanut. Why it is neither a pea, nor a nut. Discuss!

Luz, the snow is pretty, but usually beastly to drive on. Today it wasn't terrible, they were just starting to plow as I left. The bad news is that this weekend we're supposed to get a severe snowstorm. There go my weekend plans!

Aside to ET- you can't be too geeky to be related. You may play D&D, but I used to LARP. I may still have my fangs somewhere.

MWN! I never knew you cared. Come downstreet and see us sometime! :)

ET, that's good to know. I have lots of gothy things, but no fangs, hidden away in my hippie closet; however, I still get together eight times a year with a Celtic Iron Age reenactment society where I wear a shapeless flannel muumuu, have just a LEETLE spiced and spiked cider, and watch grown men and women hit each other with weapons made of PVC and foam. (Other stuff happens there too, of course, and this spring we're building a siege engine -- we found a Roman group in Georgia and we're talking about having a "war" for a weekend.) Geeeeeeeeeek.

Of course, you read a blog where I talk about Shatnerization and LOTR fanwanks, ET. It shouldn't surprise me that you've got geek pride.

Sauce, I know that I love the snow so much partly because I don't have to deal with it every day!!! I know it's very beautiful and magical but for sure it's also a real pain in the ass :-)

An aside... I still play AD&D! Play all kinds of other RPG games too. At the moment our group is about to play Seventh Sea which is a kinda pirates role playing game :-D After that I'll run a special one off game of "Kobolds ate my baby" Does this mean I am a geek too? :-D lol

Best Wishes
